He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence "Bud" McFarland and Edith McFarland (Strain); and his siblings, Ray, Jesse, Robert Lynn and Rosie.

He is survived by: his sons, Jimmy McFarland, Stephen McFarland, Donnie McFarland (Christine) and Timothy McFarland (Jessica); his grandchildren, Austin, Autumn, Brooke, Dakota, Bailey, Trey and Jakob; his great grandchildren, Cameron, Arya and River; and his sister Namoa Moody.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Roller Funeral Home (25 Co Rd 27, Mountain Home, AR 72653).
