Roberta Jean Gilder Strawn Obituary
Roberta Jean Gilder Strawn, 72, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away on August 5, 2025 at her home. She was born on October 27, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri to Glenn William Gilder and Fern Ola (Willhite) Gilder.
Roberta was a member of the First Assembly of God in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was a graduate of Southwestern Assembly of God University in Waxahachie, Texas. She was a senior adult minister at Refuge Assembly of God in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She also served as a Children's Pastor at Fountain of Life Church in Ft. Worth, Texas. Roberta co-pastored with her husband in North Carolina and Arkansas. She was in the banking business in Dallas and Ft. Worth Texas and severed as Vice President. She loved traveling all over enjoying Gods creation, sewing, knitting, and spending time with family. Her greatest pleasure in life were her grandchildren. One of the greatest impacts Roberta made on her family was signing them up to deliver meals on wheels in Hot Springs, Arkansas on Christmas day.
Survivors include; husband: Glen Strawn of the home; two sons: Stephen Glen Strawn of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Draken Strawn of Ward, Arkansas; one daughter: Bethany Erin Strawn of Ward, Arkansas; three grandsons: Rider Darden, Walker Darden, Colton Strawn; one great granddaughter: Harper Echo Darden; and a host of other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by; her parents: Glenn William Gilder and Fern Ola (Willhite) Gilder; and three sisters: Charlotte Falani, Glenda Kunau, Janice Sillivan.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Mountain Home, Arkansas with Pastor Josh Beers officiating.
