He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Marcus and Mary Blackwell (Garrett). He is survived by: his wife Shirley Blackwell; his daughters, Tina Thomas (Roger), Jami Henderson, Myette Storey (Michael) and Missy Avey; his sisters, Mary Sutterfield, Pauline Battaglear and Brenda Holden; and his grandchildren, Candice McSpadden (Brad), Carly May (Ryan), Karissa Brewer (Cody), Cody Thomas (Julie Ann), Cheyenne O'Brien (Nate), Ashtynn Bowlin (Jake), Mattie Avey and Hayden Storey (Brianna). He is also survived by grandkids; along with many extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Roller Crouch Chapel (405 S Peabody Ave, Mountain View, AR 72560). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church (2308 Sugar Hill Rd, Mountain View, AR 72560).
