He was predeceased by : his parents, Rubert Kent and Dollie Kent (Plaster) of Jonesboro. He is survived by : his wife Judy Kent (Philliber); his children, Jodi Green of Deptford and Samuel (Heather Kent) of Helena, Alabama; his grandchildren, Zack Spencer, Cole Spencer, Azure Spencer, Andrew Kent, Topher Kent and Xander Kent; his sister Winona Emmons (Kent) of Dundee, Mississippi; and his niece Ann Adams of Amory, Mississippi.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (224 king avenue, Mountain View, AR 72560). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
