He was predeceased by: his parents, Rainer Cosby and Gladys Frances Black (Gaines). He is survived by: his wife Mary "Katy" Black; his children, Amy Black (Christine Pollard) of Gulfport, Florida and Dale Black (Anna Berger) of Orlando, Florida; his sister Laurie Hurst (Ward); his niece Teri Hurst; and his nephew Christopher Hurst.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Alma Methodist Church (22 Ash St, Alma, AR 72921).
