He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie "Jess" Reed and Carrie Reed (Elam); his daughter Melissa Reed; and his siblings, Doris Shepherd, Charlene Turner, Melba Burcham, Richard Reed and J. C. Reed.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Reed; his sons, Jessie Reed of Mountainburg, Justin Reed (Juanna) of Mountainburg, Jeremy Reed (Shae) of Farmington, Alex Patterson of Fort Smith and Tim Patterson of Mountainburg; his sisters, Alta Shepherd of Ozark and Barbara Rosson (Stan) of Ozark; and his sister-in-law Nelda Reed of Charleston, Arkansas.. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
