She was predeceased by: her parents, Allie Jewell and Louellen Carpenter (Nash); her husband Johnny Thompson; and her siblings, Kendall Carpenter, Doyle Carpenter, Juanita Williams, Eloise Williams, Ella Mae Chappel, Joyce Powell and Nita Henry.
She is survived by: her daughter Tonia Thompson (Michael Brumley); her granddaughter Kaelin Hutchinson Garcia (Edgar) of Newport; and her nephew Grady.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jackson's Newport Funeral Home (1900 Malcolm Ave, Newport, AR 72112). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
