She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph, Sr. Fisher and Agnes Fisher (Rutledge); her daughter Kelly Lynn; and her siblings, Harold Dean Fisher, Ralph Fisher, Jr., Hugh Fisher, Marcus Fisher, David Fisher, Jeral Fisher, Jetta Fisher, Latricia "Lue" Lucas and Pauline Sutherland.

She is survived by: her husband Bobby Gates; her children, Jason Gates (Lacy) of Newport and Jan Gates Walker (Jason) of Newport; her sisters, Delois Honey of Newport and Sue Wright (Frank) of Quitman; and her granddaughter Ava May Gates of Newport.
