Tom Lassiter Sr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Tom Lassiter Sr. of Newport, Arkansas, who passed away on June 15, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Tom is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Tom's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lassiter and Irene Lassiter (Parker); his wife Freda Lassiter; and his brother Johnny Lassiter, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, William Thomas Lassiter of Newport, Kathy Whitlow of Jonesboro and Patricia Morris (Jerry) of Newport; his brother Sam Lassiter (Cathy) of Newport; and his great-niece Dallas. He is also survived by five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dillinger Funeral Home (2001 AR-367, Newport, AR 72112). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Freindship Cemetery.
