He was predeceased by: his parents, William McElvaney Sr. and Doris McElvaney (Crowder); and his sister-in-law Cathy Grubbs. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his brother Steve McElvaney of Florida; his siblings-in-law, Terry Jones (Arlene), Mike Jones (Sandra), Rick Jones (Brenda), David Jones (Claudette), Jimmy Grubbs and Susan Crabb (Stan); and his friend David Knight (Freda) of Oxford, Mississippi.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Central Baptist Church (3000 Melody Ln, Newport, AR 72112).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Gideon International.
