He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Chester II and Harriet Kowalski II (Marten); and his brother Daniel Kowalski. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Kowalski (Connolly); his sons, Vince, Tim and Chester F. Kowalski; his grandchildren, Christopher, Daniel, Quixoti and Moon; and his sister Veronica Bruno.
