He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Ross and Elizabeth Ross. He is survived by: his wife Fannie "Ann" Vinzant Ross; his children, Edward Ross of Gainesville, Florida, Calvin Ross of Gainesville, Florida, Elaine Cobb (Kenney) of Alachua, Florida and Annette Ross of Alachua, Florida; his grandchildren, Joseph Ross, Jonathan Ross, Nathaniel Ross, Biven Cobb, Tyler Cobb, Nevaeh Ross, Brittany Sardinas and Jennifer Wheatley; and his great grandchildren, Hunter Sardinas, Rhett Ross, Madison Ross and Wyatt Wheatley.
