He was predeceased by : his parents, Helena Rackley Cannon and Cluster Lee Cannon; his grandparents, Noah, Lura Cannon, Arlie and Blanche Rackley; his brothers, Bobby Don Cannon and Nolan Cannon; and his stepfather George Rooney.

He is survived by : his wife Alma Jean Southerland; his children, Leigh Ann Bird of Drasco and Larry Cannon (Lynn) of Drasco; and his sister-in-law Earlene Cannon. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 5th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Drasco General Baptist Church (6797 Heber Springs Rd N, Drasco, AR 72530). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
