She was predeceased by: her parents, Cab Garrett and Audie Smith Garrett; her husband Marvin Novell Varnado; her son Terry Novell Varnado; her siblings, J. W. Garrett and Hazel Fuller; her grandson Victor Novell Varnado; and her great grandchildren, Gabriella and Eva Gonzales.

She is survived by: her daughter Billie Gathright of Strong; her grandchildren, Kristi Steelman (Kris), Kila Gonzales (Cesar) and Clint Gathright (Mollie); and her great grandchildren, Grant Steelman, Garrett Steelman, Haven Gathright, Greer Gathright, Ellie Larson, Isaac Larson, Maxwell Gonzales, Mia Gonzales and Luke Gonzales.
