He is survived by: his sister Pat Breaux (Ophie); his sibling's children, Carla Smith, Robert Hayes (Yola) and Jason Hayes (Ruby); his sister-in-law Dean Calvert (Jim); his sibling's children, Allison, Leslie and Anna; his sons, Lawrence Ross Higgenbotham (Alice), Clayton Scott Smith (Pam) and Douglas Wayland Smith (Dawn); his grandchildren, Meg Johnson (Scotty), Lauren Lee, Margeaux Smith, Gracie Smith and Sophie Mae Smith; his great grandchildren, Parker Lee and A. J. Johnson; and his grandchildren, Ali McEntee (Kevin), Zachary Stackhouse, Summer Thomas (Logan) and Ginger Johnson.
