She was predeceased by: her parents, Mariano R Acosta Sr. and Laura Ruiz De Acosta; and her husband Henry Wayne Carpenter. She is survived by: her children, Shirley Ann Farrar and Nan Acosta-Carpenter; and her brother Oliver Acosta Ruiz. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great grandchildren and friends.
