He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Nuessen and Edith Roberts Nuessen; and his brother David Nuessen. He is survived by: his wife Dianna Nuessen; his daughters, Belinda Ortner (Bill), Jennifer Nuessen Foster (Teresa Washington Foster) and Monica Nwachuku (Ugo); his grandchildren, Breanna Ortner (Zac Cantrell), Mikayla Ortner, Michael Ortner, Hannah Nuessen, Adaugo Nwachuku and Chisom Nwachuku; and his siblings, Vickey Landwehr (Mike), Hazel Grimm and Mark Nuessen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in John Nuessen's name to St. Anne Catholic Church – a place where John's faith and community continued to grow over the 34 years he was a parishioner.
