He was predeceased by: his wife Audrey Layton; his father Odell Lee (Margaret Lee); and his son Dwight Layton. He is survived by: his children, Phil Layton (Cassandra), Vaneisa Layton-Lowe (Ahmad), Chiquita Wright and Latearsa Arnold; and his siblings, Floyd Layton, Laverne Layton, Odell Lee Jr. (Ethel), Maxine Lee Williams, Norma Lee Kent and Belinda Lee Brown (Melvin). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
