She was predeceased by : her parents, Albert Una Wiggins and Sally Williams Wiggins Mercer; her former life partner W. J. Hicks, Sr.; her son W. J. Hicks, Jr. (Bill); and her sister Katie Martin.
She is survived by : her husband Robert F. Rivers; her siblings, Theda Shirley and Joe Mercer; and her sons, John R. Hicks (Hazel), Jeffrey H. Hicks (Ellen), Michael E. Hicks (Lynette) and Benjamin T. Hicks (Jennifer). She is also survived by three grandsons.
She asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Stone County Library, Mtn.
