He is survived by: his sons, Kenny, Ricky and Dylan; his pet Ella; his grandchildren, Colton, Harper, Michael, Myron and Macon; and his brother Gary Childers of Maumelle. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.

His generosity extended beyond words—he gave of himself through more than 600 blood donations to the American Red Cross.
