He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Obadiah Houpt and Lillian Louise Houpt (Parrish); and his aunts and uncles, Hazel Gentry, Belva Daniels, Virginia Whitener, Barbara Peek, Roland Gentry, Jake Fryar and Darrell Daniels.
He is survived by: his parents, Vickee Counts Pearson (Houpt) of Maumelle and William Phillip Counts of Hot Springs; his son Matthew Christopher "Sport"; his brother David Aaron Counts; his nephew Ben Counts of Hot Springs; his sister Andrea Counts of Hot Springs; his stepbrothers, Collin and Justin Ritter; his aunts and uncles, Sandy Brown, Darlene "De" Loftis, Mary Toney (Ron), Irma Fryar, David Houpt (Jeri), Garry Houpt, Richard Houpt and Robert Dozier; and his pet Hunter. He is also survived by many cousins, extended family members, and friends.
