She is survived by: her son Backa Herring (Dora); her siblings, Dorothy Hunt, Reggie Smith (Veronica) and Gerald Smith (Janet); her grandchild Bach Herring; and her stepgrandchildren, Joshua Ruley, Ulysses Ruley and Trista Criner. She is also survived by other family members and friends.

A graveside service was held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Yocum Cemetery.
