He was predeceased by : his parents, E. A. Freeman and Letty Ruth Freeman (Hays); his brothers, Presley Freeman and Kenneth Freeman; and the mother of his children Judy Selvidge (Helms).

He is survived by : his children, Edward Allen Freeman of Oil Trough, Anna Marshall of Mabelvale and Peggy Sue Gillette of Oil Trough; his siblings, Gaylord Freeman (Linda) of Oil Trough, Raymond Freeman (Cathy) of Tuckerman, Wayne Freeman (Cara) of Oil Trough, Timothy Freeman (Sarah) of Oil Trough and Letty Sue Addington of Oil Trough; and his grandchildren, Harrison William Gillette, Kennedy Suzanne Gillette, Jackson Gillette, Reagan Jewel Gillette, Theodore Jude Freeman, Edward Allen Freeman, Jr. and Liam Urijah Wade Freeman.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jackson's Newport Funeral Home (1900 Malcolm Ave, Newport, AR 72112). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
