He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Emanuel and Elizabeth Huffman Dickerson; his wife Cornelia; his sister Margaret Casteel; his brothers-in-law, James McCorkle and Johnnie Casteel; and his niece Lisa Casteel.
He is survived by: his son Tim Dickerson of Okolona; his grandchildren, Brittney Dickerson-Vining (Mark) of Hot Springs, Christopher Dickerson of Nashville, TN and Katy Crumpler (Cole) of Camden; his great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Bonnie Crumpler; and his sister-in-law Rita McCorkle.
