She was predeceased by : her parents, Barlow J. Freeman and Flora Green Freeman; her husband Woodrow Bailey; and her siblings, B. J. Freeman Jr., William Elgin Freeman and Margaret Walker.

She is survived by : her daughters, Delores McChesney of Okolona and Diane Kenyan (Ron) of North Carolina. She is also survived by six grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
