He was predeceased by : his parents, James Davis and Willie Davis; his wife Mary F. Davis; and his brothers, Jimmy Davis, Russell Davis and J. T. Davis.

He is survived by : his children, David Davis (Kristi) and Janet Metheny (Steve); his grandchildren, Ashley Smith (Justin), Austin Metheny (Chelsea), Blake Davis and Coleman Davis; and his great grandchildren, Steele Smith, Hawk Smith, Fletcher Smith and Sutton Metheny.
