He was predeceased by : his parents, Guss Elam and Venny Elam (Barnes); his great grandchild Eli; and his siblings, Mable, Ray, Nancy, Robert and Virginia.
He is survived by : his wife Arbra Elam (Kenney); his children, Audra Hodges (James) and Carl Elam (Linda) of Little Rock; his grandson Eric; and his sister Sandra Elam Trussell.
