She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. E. W. and Mary A. Newton Pillstrom; her husband Gus Shaffer; her siblings, Newton, Dr. Lawrence, Edward Pillstrom and Mary Ann Young; and her daughter-in-law Kathy Shaffer.

She is survived by: her sister Sally Jane Jones of Ozark; her sons, Newton Ray Shaffer (Brenda) of Ozark, Don Ed Shaffer (Mary Lou) of Ozark, David Ralph Shaffer of Ozark and Jack Shaffer (Jennifer) of Ozark, AR; her grandchildren, Ashley Shaffer Miles, Holly Price, Heather Grimes, Ivy Shaffer, DeEsta Shaffer, Jake Shaffer, Jacey Cooper, Eric Shaffer and Katie Shaffer; and her great grandchildren, Ethan, Natalie, Harris Marcotte, Lily Price, Heaven, Shaffer Grimes, Ayden Shaffer, Avery and Ian Cooper.
