He was predeceased by: his parents, James Murphy and Bertie Ghent Murphy; and his sister Brenda Murphy Clark. He is survived by: his wife Melanie Moore Murphy; his children, Amanda Murphy of Fayetteville, AR and Darren Murphy (Joanna) of Bauxite, AR; and his granddaughters, Karlie Snell of Arkansas and Katie Malone of Arkansas. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; many other friends.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Henderson Cemetery.
