It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Akes of Paragould, Arkansas, born in Leachville, Arkansas, who passed away on June 14, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father William Akes; his sister Loretta Wood; and his son Billy Akes, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Akes; his stepchildren, Joseph Mullen (Shellie) of Paragould, Tricia Gargus (Tony) of Paragould, Jamie Cooper (Charlie) of Paragould, Thomas Mullen (Melinda) of Washington and Bobbie Morgan (Carl) of Paragould; and his siblings, Melba Lawson of Marmaduke and Charles Akes of Paragould. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
