He was predeceased by: his daughters, Kristi Whiteside Thornton and Michelle Whiteside Burnett; his son-in-law Neal Ladymon; his parents, Ella Meriwether Whiteside and Bryon Whiteside; and his sisters, Verna Lee Whiteside, Genora Whiteside Faughn and Kathy Whiteside Freeman.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dottie" Waters; his grandchildren, Molly Ladymon Dillard of Paragould, AR, Abbey Burnett and Alex Burnett of Little Rock, AR.; and his great grandchild Journee Dillard of Paragould, AR.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West View Baptist Church, 701 W Morgan St, Paragould, AR 72450, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
