He is survived by: his mother Willa Marie "Polly" Crosswhite Thurmond of Paragould; his son Dustin Thurmond of Jonesboro; his sister Edra Davis (Bobby) of Bono; his granddaughter Kyler George (Lexi) of Paragould; his nephews, Chad Davis (Brittany) of Bono and Drew Davis (Laura) of Bono; and his friend Hite Horner of Paragould.
