He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert McKenzie and Gladys Roberts; his son David Robert McKenzie Jr.; his sister Karen Schneider; and his stepfather Chester Bice.
He is survived by: his siblings, Eddie McKenzie of Leesburg, Florida and Phyllis Moore (Erik) of Paragould, Arkansas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
