Freddie Leon Stanley Obituary

Freddie Leon Stanley, of Paragould, Arkansas departed this life on September 20, 2024 at Ozarks Health Care in West Plains, Missouri. Freddie was born Friday, January 14, 1949 and was 75 years of age at his time of passing.

On July 1969, Freddie married the love of his life Brenda Jane Daniels who sadly passed on October 14, 2006. Freddie and Brenda are survived by their son Gary Ray Stanley (Sandy) of Pocahontas, Arkansas and grandson Justin Parker Stanley of Paragould, Arkansas. In 1993 Freddie met Cheryl Yeargain of Paragould, Arkansas and committed as a life partner on August 20, 2017. Freddie loved Cheryl and enjoyed working on the acreage in Finch and traveling together making many lasting memories.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Brenda, his parents Parker and Voncille (Hawkins) Stanley, his brother-in-law Willis Johnson and nephew Vaughn Gerald Johnson. He is survived by sisters Diane Woodson (James) of Imboden, Arkansas Sherry Johnson of Farmington and Peggy Smith (Randy) of Black Rock, Arkansas. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews and many friends.

Freddie graduated from Walnut Ridge High School in 1967 and acquired a degree of Associated in Arts from Southern Baptist College in May of 1969 and a degree in Psychology from ASU in May of 1976. He was a truck driver for Emerson Electric (where he was known to his coworkers there as "Big Orr") until he was permanently disabled in 1989. Freddie enjoyed being outdoors, being on any river, and traveling. In his younger years he enjoyed scuba diving, cave exploration, skiing and boat riding but most of all his time spent with family.

There will be a celebration of life at Warren's Chapel Methodist Church 696 AR- 168 in Paragould, Arkansas at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2024. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, The American Cancer Society or any charity of your choice.
