She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Clyde and Sarah Selma McGill; and her brothers, Robert "Bob" McGill and David Alsup. She is survived by: her husband Charles "Ken" Copen Jr.; her children, Kenny Copen (Shonda) and Cathy Moore (Bill); her grandchildren, Kinley Copen, Richard Griffith (Jessi), Brian Griffith (Jessica), Ashley Moore and Gregory Moore (Rachel); her great grandchildren, Bridges, Lennon, Lilah, Rhythm, Cybyn, Kairos and Nyamae; and her sister Judy Garner.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials can be made to Brookland Church of Christ.
