It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Ray Bowlin (Paragould, Arkansas), who passed away on February 4, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Lloyd Bowlin and Drusilla Bowlin; and his brothers, Snow Bowlin, Hoss Bowlin and Glen Mac Bowlin.

He is survived by : his wife Norma Jean Bowlin; his children, Scott Bowlin (Kathy) and Stephane Davis (Barry); his grandchildren, Meagan Ann Bowlin Gonzales (Matthew) of Thompson Station, Skyler Jim Bowlin (Camilla) of Arnhurst, Tyson Welch Davis of Paragould, Trase Ryan Davis (Taylor) of Paragould, Jordan Craig Pickens of Springdale and Briley Elizabeth Brody (Chase) of Gravette, Arkansas; his great grandchildren, McKenzie, Madison Gonzales, Luka Bowlin, Reagan, Lincoln Davis, Addison Arnold, Emma, Ryan Davis and Charlotte Brody; and his sister Daphne Adams.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Jim Bowlin's memory to the Arkansas Coaches Association Scholarship Fund.

“Coach Bowlin was the reason I came to Greene County Tech. He wanted an assistant in basketball for his girls team. I enjoyed those years helping with the team. It makes me smile thinking of the times he would show-out (kid a garbage can) at half time, then after the team left, would turn to me and say"was that too hard". He loved those kids and it was really not his nature to be hard on them. He always had a smile and was such a good guy. He will be missed.”
