He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Butler and Gladys Butler (Hughes); and his siblings, Doyle Butler, Roy Butler, James Butler, Hattie Butler, Dessie Butler and Ruby Koontz.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny R. Butler, Jimmy A. Butler, Dena M. Butler and Elissa A. Faulkner (Rick); his sister Louise Morrow; his grandchildren, Brittany D. Walker (Phillip), Crystal Jordan and Robert S. Templeton; and his great grandchildren, Austin Walker, Jace Walker and Pierceon Moore. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
