He was predeceased by: his father Paul Mathis; and his brother Marty Mathis. He is survived by: his mother Brenda Faye Mathis; his son Johnathon Mathis (Caileigh); his sister Tina Boswell (Jeff); his grandchild Sorin Mathis; and his sibling's children, Angela Weatherford (Justin), Joseph Boswell and Mikel Mathis. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
