Jonie Faye Morris Obituary

Jonie Faye Morris, age 49, of Paragould, Arkansas passed away on May 18, 2025 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born on April 20, 1976 in Littlefield, Texas to Jessie Johnson and Wanda (Dixon) Johnson. Jonie was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Paragould, Arkansas. She married Rodney Morris on October 19, 2000. She enjoyed writing poetry, spending time outdoors, working with kids, and spending time with family. She loved her fur baby Tesla.

Survivors include; husband: Rodney Morris of the home; four children: Derrick Morris (Melanie) of Oak Grove, Arkansas, Mikey Morris of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Jacob Morris of Wisconsin, Kolton Morris of Oak Grove, Arkansas; five brothers: Danny Kersey (Kathy) of Breckenridge, Texas, Wendell Kersey (Ronda) of Paragould, Arkansas, Calvin Johnson (Rebecca) of Bay Minette, Alabama, Donnie Johnson (Sherry) of Lafe, Arkansas, Ricky Johnson (Marla) of Paragould, Arkansas; two sisters: Tena Hollingworth of Paragould, Arkansas and Sandra Davis (Nathan) of Paragould, Arkansas; seven grandchildren: Noah Morris, Bella Morris, Corbin Morris, Case Morris, Ava Morris, Riley Morris, Harley Morris; and a host of other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by; parents: Jessie Johnson and Wanda (Dixon) Johnson; and one brother: Johnny Johnson.

Pallbearers; Calvin Johnson, Donnie Johnson, Mikey Morris, Derrick Morris, Matt Davis, and Wendell Kirsey.

Honorary Pallbearers: Kolton Morris and Jacob Morris.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Paragould, Arkansas with Bro. David Stallings officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow at New Friendship Cemetery in Paragould, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
