She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Laws and Lana Dixon Laws; her granddaughter Caleigh Forkum; and her stepdaughter Marylyn Evans. She is survived by: her husband Ervin Reed; and her siblings, Wesley (Mary Ann), Jimmy (Peggy), Lonnie (Linda), Eddie, Berneal Laws, Judy Laws, Glenda Wallace (Dick) and Tracey Pitcher.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital and Le Bonheur, two organizations that reflect Josita's compassion and commitment to the well-being of children.
