It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joy Newberry (Paragould, Arkansas), born in Beech Grove, Arkansas, who passed away on December 13, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John D. Newberry; her parents, Telfair Pillow and Elsie Pillow; her grandson Nathan Reeves; her son-in-law Ty Stephens; her siblings, J. D. Pillow, Lorene Anderson and Maxine Hyde; and her siblings-in-law, Clarence Newberry and Dee Stolle.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Stephens (Ty), Susan Reeves (James) and John Newberry (Jan); her grandchildren, Tisha (Jeff), Laura (Devin), Shaunda (Bo), Shannon (John), Brad (Emily), Sean (Kate) and Andrea; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Alexis, Matthew, Madison, Kayla, Ty, Cap, Bodie, Aiden, Ila, Hudson, Gracie, Hayden, Maddie, Levi, Alex, Ashton, Cohen and Piper; her great great grandchild Jackson; her brother-in-law Larry Newberry; and her cousin Diane Parkinson.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Heath Funeral Home (321 W Garland St, Paragould, AR 72450). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Mt. Zion Cemetery (3625 AR-141, Paragould, AR 72450).
