She was predeceased by : her husband Wayne Cox; her parent Agnes Moffat; her adoptive mother Jean Spurlock; and her brothers, Jimmy and Bill Spurlock.

She is survived by : her children, Reba Cunningham (John), Thomas Pruett, Ruben Pruitt and Dewayne Lewis; and her grandson Ruben A. Pruitt. She is also survived by several grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
