He was predeceased by: his parents, Everette Sessums and Martha Sessums; his daughter Crystal Scroggins; and his siblings, Roy Sessums, Morris Sessums, Carolyn Shrum and Doris Sessums.

He is survived by: his wife Diane Sessums; his children, Nicole Massey (Bradley), Teddy Scroggins, Lea Sessums and Heather Emmons (Anton "Tony" Passard); and his siblings, Jean Rowell, Shirley Branum, Debbie Clark, Connie Passmore, Regina Sessums, Pam Sessums, Jerry, Eddie, Butch and Ben Sessums.
