With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha Carolyn Puckett (Paragould, Arkansas), who passed away on March 13, 2026 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Deal Puckett and Lanell Price Puckett; her sister Jo Ann Puckett; and her brother-in-law Glen Slinker. She is survived by: her sister Charlotte Slinker; her nephews, Keith (Crystal) and Jason Slinker; her great-nieces, Avery Carolyn and Addilyn Joy Slinker; and her caregivers, Gean Nelson, Mary Scott, Rhoni Hale, Pam White, Sheryl Morato and Dr. Stacey Noel.
Throughout her tenure, she was lauded for her remarkable contributions to education, receiving numerous accolades including Teacher of the Year and the Outstanding Teacher of America recognition.
