He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Edward Fears and Betty Jane Miller Strong; and his wife Clara Slatton Fears. He is survived by: his siblings, Phillip Wesley "Wes" Fears of Murray, Kentucky and Teresa "Paula" Williams (Albert) of Blountville, Tennessee; his uncle Larry Fears; his nephew Steven Edgin (Tina); his nieces, Paula Jane Hunt, Krysta Richards (Josh) and Stacy Redden (John); his cousin Mark Fears; and his sister-in-law Alice Snyder.
