He is survived by: his brother Hershel Jackson (Melissa); his brother-in-law James Eason; his sisters, Ann Simpson (Kirby), Carolyn Gillian (Jimmy), Mary Vinson and Debbie Fields (Mark); his sister-in-law Jane Marquez (Isidro); his aunt Flossie Watkins; his siblings' children, Melvin Canard (Monica), Stephen Fields (Whitney), Joyce Coffey (Thurman), Sandy Caldwell (Chris) and Amy Hodges; and his niece-in-law Stefanie Canard. He is also survived by six great nephews, two great nieces, six great-great-nephews and two great-great-nieces.
