He was predeceased by : his parents, Ruel L. White and Virginia White (Mathis); and his brother Jerry Garcez. He is survived by : his daughter Tammy Schluterman (Larry) of Scranton; his brother Randy Garcez of Yorba Linda, California; his grandsons, Brec Schluterman (Alisha) and Quinton Schluterman; his great grandchildren, Kaydence, Kam and Kyrie Schluterman; and his close friend Bess Ann Wingfield Cauthon of Magazine.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked donations be made to Paris Boys and Girls Club.
