It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Opal Cheek of Paron, Arkansas, born in La Junta, Colorado, who passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Acler and Moranda. She is survived by : her husband Monroe Cheeks Sr.; and her children, Bill Cheek, Louisa Bowman (Jimmy), Raymond Davis II, Frances Lockert, John Davis (Betty) and Henry (LaVa).

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ashby Funeral Home (108 W Narroway St, Benton, AR 72015). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
