He was predeceased by: his parents, O. C. Brown and Berthola Bowman. He is survived by: his wife Wanda D. Bowman (Long) of Pine Bluff, AR; his son Alfred Bowman, Jr. of Little Rock, AR; and his siblings, Kenneth Bowman of Boston, Massachusetts, Ronald Bowman of Dallas, Texas, Edward Bowman of Alexander, AR, Jeffery Brown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Marcus Brown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Brian Brown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jacqueline Brown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Tina Bowman-Thomas of Garland, Texas. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sneed Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (12799 US-425, Star City, AR 71667).
