He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas O. Carter, Sr. and Eva Carter (Porter). He is survived by: his wife Bonnie L. Carter (Proctor) of Pine Bluff, AR; and his children, James Suffern of Kansas City, Missouri, Nicholas Carter of Columbia, Missouri, Debra Long of Columbia, Missouri, Toni Carter Woods of Columbia, Missouri, Bobbia Carter of Columbia, Missouri, Veronica Holland of Altadena, California, Margaret Carter of Mesquite, Texas, Marilyn Smith of Pine Bluff, AR, Lisa Kearney of Pine Bluff, AR and Rosaline Martin of England, AR. He is also survived by 44 grandchildren; 98 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Home (2704 Commerce Cir, Pine Bluff, AR 71601). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Greater Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church (3700 W 13th Ave, Pine Bluff, AR 71603). A burial was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery (1479 County Rd 1675, Jacksonville, MO 65260).
